Ohio panel rules against congressional challenger: Schmidt vs Krikorian
By STEPHEN MAJORS (AP)
COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Armenian-American congressional challenger made false campaign statements with reckless disregard for the truth when he said an Ohio congresswoman took money from the Turkish government and Turkish government-sponsored interests, the Ohio Elections Commission found Thursday.
U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt, a Cincinnati-area Republican, brought the complaints against David Krikorian after he made the statements in the waning days of the 2008 campaign. Krikorian, who ran as an independent, said Schmidt was given roughly $30,000 from Turkish interests because of her denial that the mass killings of Armenians by the Turks in 1915 constituted genocide. Dear Mr. President:
This is to refute the baseless claims and arrogant demands made by the Armenians in a letter to you recently. Kenneth v. Hachikian, chairman of ANCA -the same organization previously headed by a convicted Armenian terrorist, Topalian, who shamelessly stored explosives next to a school, daycare, and a gas station in Ohio until caught in the act by the FBI- (more…)

Much Esteemed and beloved Mr. President:,
Salute, regards and sentiments from Türkiye, the country where your friendly visit, is treasured!
I apologize that “as soon as I read the rude, accusatory, and outright disrespectful letter written to you by Kenneth V. Hachikian, Chairman of ANCA “a shady group currently under investigation by federal agencies for alleged campaign finance and lobbying violations” I felt compelled to write to you and put some light on penned slanders!
The letter, [quite short of accustomed courtesy and respect when addressing the White House] was urging you to reject the recent ruling of a three judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in the case of Movsesian v. Versicherung A.G. (No. 07-56722, August 20, 2009), which struck down a California special-interest law providing remedies and tax exemptions to ethnic Armenians for alleged wrongs during an alleged genocide. (more…)
Upon receiving thousands of emails and letters, CNN International realized how serious its mistake was and apologized for showing the fictitious map on Campbell Brown’s program on 21 August 2009 where large swaths of Turkey and her neighbors were labeled “Kurdistan”.

Ask your California State Assembly Member to vote against SB 234 unless it is amended to explicitly permit the presentation of contra-genocide viewpoints in genuine historical controversies.
SB 234 would allow the California State Curriculum Commission to recommend adding an oral history component to the 2014 history-social science curriculum framework that relates to genocide. The Armenian Lobby has been heavily lobbying for this bill. Should it be passed, this will open the classroom doors to the lobby’s well organized campaign to demonize Turks today and to prevent an open, fair and truthful discussion of Ottoman-Armenian history.
